How To Play Bass Guitar

I have always wanted to learn how to play bass guitar. Until now the things that have got in the way are life and well, it’s more difficult than it looks.

I though I’d write about my progress after cracking the base after many years of trying.

Yes I’ve bought a few books and the odd CD but after a few weeks I reach an impasse and just can’t get past that block.

So, I pick up my bass less and less until after a few months I’ve given up completely, again. Then, after a few more months I can hardly remember anything and I’m back to square one.

I’m 42 now and this has been going on for the last 23 years! I’ve begun to learn and given up 6 times until now…

At last I’ve found a system to learn how to play the bass guitar that works!

Recently I’ve been thinking of trying again after going to a blues gig and hearing bass player who really new how to groove.

About 5 weeks ago I mentioned this to Chris, a friend of mine, who learned guitar at college and plays really well, told me to try a method from Music Master Pro. He’s always practicing and buys everything he can get his hands on. He’d been brushing up on his lead guitar playing and said the results were great. He said, “If the bass guitar system if half as good as the lead guitar one I used you’ll be amazed at the results.” Yes, but he’s a natural and I’m a duffer!

The web site looks a bit naff but for $29.95 I thought I’d give it a try.

Hells, bells, I’m glad I did.

This stuff really works!

The system is easy to learn and amazing fun to play. Because it uses, video, audio and printed lessons and examples you can see, hear and read what you’re doing. The lessons and examples are very good and I progressed more in just over a 3 weeks than I’ve managed ever before in 20 years.

I’m now to be seen in our study riffing and grooving away to the 100’s of jam tracks which come free with Music Master Pro Open in a new window . I’m into funk and blues but, my rock bass isn’t bad either now ;o). I might even try the sections on Jazz.
